GINNY GRAHAM
We just purchased an 8 week old female Golden from D&D Goldens last week. She had diarrhea the whole time we had her. Treated her with pumpkin and rice but that still didn’t work. I called the breeder and she told me that she has coccidia and that the Mother passes it on to the puppies and she can’t get rid of it.
I looked it up and it can take up to 4 weeks of antibiotics to get rid of and can spread easily to other dogs. If she had told me this up front I would have probably not taken her home, as you have to incinerate the feces, steam clean, use 10% ammonia solution or immerse it in boiling water. She did give us our money back. Her website states “After having paid a lot of attention and care to mom in order to assure that the puppies are healthy and strong at birth.” Please reconsider recommending this breeder. By the way, our decision came from this website.
